NGO: Because I am A Girl(Women's Rights)
Domestic Abuse
Soon, Rasheed returns with a handful of pebbles and forces Miriam's mouth open and stuffs them in. He then orders her to chew the pebbles. In her fear, she does as he asks, breaking the molars in the back of her mouth. He tells her, “Now you know what your rice tastes like. Now you know what you’ve given me in this marriage. Bad food, and nothing else.”(Hosseini,96). Girls and women can't do what they want to do under the influence of gender based violence. Because I Am a Girl will communicate with communities around the word to build a system in which women or any gender based violence can break through. They will work strategically with girls, boys, families, community leaders and policymakers in developing programmatic practices that include real, long-term change for girls. This organization will help Mariam and Laila from the domestic abuse that happens to them through Rasheed.
Education
“What’s the sense in schooling a girl like you? It’s like shining a spittoon. There is only one skill a woman like you and me needs in life[…]: tahamul.Endure.”
Educate boys and men about gender equality by engaging them in promoting girls and women's rights. Also they will give Final standing, independence and income through village savings and loans associations(VSLA), vocational training program and girls scholarship. They will keep schools safe for girls by providing them with a safe learning environment, free of violence, abuse and bullying. There are many ways we can help, one being paying a donation and the other is to have a fundraiser.
